Installation and application procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Article 1: Reasons and purposes for establishment
To encourage young scholars to engage in STS-related research, the association has established special awards for master's and doctoral dissertations to reward excellent master's and doctoral dissertations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Article 2: Regulations on the Source and Use of Bonuses
The Board of Directors and the Audit Committee allocate bonuses in the annual budget of this association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Third Article: Awards and eligibility requirements for applicants
The applicant is a master\u2019s or doctoral student engaged in STS-related research, and may apply for their completed master\u2019s and doctoral thesis papers.
Master\u2019s and doctoral theses completed within the previous three years (including the current year) are eligible for consideration for the award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Article 4 Award criteria
Number of awards: Several, to be decided by the Board of Trustees based on the budget for the current year.
Awards: There are the Master's Thesis Award and the Best Paper Award; the Doctoral Thesis Award and the Best Paper Award.
Reward amount: Excellent paper award: NT$5,000; Good paper award: NT$3,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Article 5: Requirements for Submissions, Award Criteria, and Recognition
1. Submission Time and Format: This paper award is open for submission once a year. Applicants are requested to submit a complete electronic copy of the thesis that has passed the degree examination and an application form.
2. Award Criteria: The organizing committee of the paper award of this association shall decide the winner. The details of the award implementation procedure shall be determined by the Executive Council.
Third, the awardees are publicly presented with awards by the President at the annual meeting each year, and the awards are announced on the association website and during the annual meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Article 6 This regulation shall be implemented by the Association\u2019s Board of Directors, and additional implementing regulations shall be established. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Article 7 This policy shall be implemented after it is approved by the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board, and the same shall apply to any amendments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Execution guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Awarding Time: The award for this paper will be presented at the annual meeting each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Executive Team and Selection Committee: The Association appoints two to three members of the Board of Trustees to form the \"Master's and Doctoral Dissertation Award Executive Team,\" which is responsible for organizing announcements and the selection committee. The Executive Team invites three to five relevant experts and scholars to serve on the \"Master's Dissertation Award Selection Committee\" and the \"Doctoral Dissertation Award Selection Committee,\" and the Association's members are not allowed to be less than half of the total number of members. Moreover, the advisor of the applicant must not be a member of the selection committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Submission period: From December 20th of each year to January 31st of the following year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fourth, Announcement: The \"Master's and Doctoral Dissertation Award Implementation Group\" must notify all members of the Association, and publish it on the Association's website; it may also send a letter requesting other relevant authorities to publish it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Reviewing methods and mechanisms: The Master's Thesis Award Selection Committee and the Doctoral Thesis Award Selection Committee should each appoint one person as the chairman; the chairman should convene the selection committee and discuss and decide on the selection method, then select the winners for all the nominated papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. This regulation was drafted by the Executive Council based on the \u201cEstablishment Regulations\u201d; the same applies to any amendments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
